For those of you who have done your research on the benefits of yoga, you will realise that they are almost endless. For those who have yet to discover the benefits of yoga, the National Yoga Month aims to educate, inspire and motivate yogis of all levels. Since the event was first launched in 2008, it has been through a revolution from just mere a ten city yoga health festival tour to a worldwide campaign that continually intends to recruit new students and embrace all other existing yogis. Currently, the event is being managed and coordinated by the non-profit Yoga Health Foundation.

In certain countries, there are some yoga studios that participate in the one week free yoga sessions. “Experience is a powerful teacher, so we decided to give people across the country the opportunity to try yoga for themselves,” stated Johannes R. Fisslinger, the founder of the Yoga Health Foundation. Some of the more common health benefits of yoga includes better stress management, increased flexibility and relaxation as well as stronger musculature and connective tissue. As yoga has the ability to benefit both your mind and body, it will ultimately lead to inspiring health and harmony in your life.

“Preventative wellness can be accessed by simply unrolling a yoga mat,” said Johannes.
